About the funder
The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy of the State of Brandenburg is the central state authority responsible for shaping and managing economic, labor market, and energy policy development in Brandenburg. It develops and implements strategic concepts such as the Energy Strategy 2040, the Gigabit Strategy for comprehensive broadband expansion, the Action Framework for the Digitalization of the Economy, the SME Report, the Regional Innovation Strategy innoBB 2025, as well as guidelines for industrial policy and sustainable economic practices. The Ministry coordinates state funding programs and consolidates EU funds (ERDF, ESF+, JTF) to support companies (especially SMEs), research institutions, municipalities, clusters, and networks. The goal is to strengthen competitiveness, secure jobs, promote innovation, advance the energy transition, and enable structural change towards a climate-neutral and resilient economy.

Municipalities, districts, cluster initiatives, and network organizations are also addressed. Projects supported include those in the fields of digitalization, renewable energies, energy efficiency, hydrogen economy, broadband expansion, skilled labor development, and cross-sector innovation projects that make a sustainable contribution to economic development and climate neutrality in Brandenburg.
