The Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen (MBG) mbH is a public institution that supports the Saxon SME sector through equity participations and silent partnerships. It operates independently of banks and expands the financing options for founders, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as succession projects. In addition to providing capital, MBG Sachsen offers companies access to a network of associations, chambers, and consultants. The participation programs include, among others, micro-mezzanine funds for micro and small enterprises as well as venture capital activities (TGFS) for knowledge-based, technology-oriented start-ups.

With our investments, we support small and medium-sized enterprises in Saxony, thereby creating a foundation for good ideas. We provide founders, growth companies, and successors with financial and professional support that opens up new opportunities, improves credit ratings, and contributes to the long-term strengthening of the regional economy.

MBG Sachsen targets companies in the Free State of Saxony at all stages of their lifecycle: founders, successors, growth-oriented companies, as well as technology-oriented start-ups. Special emphasis is placed on micro and small enterprises with below-average equity ratios, start-ups emerging from unemployment, companies led by women or people with a migration background, ecologically sustainable projects, and those oriented towards the common good.
