About the funder

The Monsignor Friedrich Ohlhäuser Foundation was established in 2009 by the Baugenossenschaft Familienheim Karlsruhe eG. It supports tenants in distress and at risk, as well as needy individuals and charitable institutions in the city and district of Karlsruhe with financial and material resources. In the spirit of its namesake Monsignor Friedrich Ohlhäuser, an uncompromising advocate of solidarity and a committed man of charity, the foundation operates directly, unbureaucratically, and sustainably. A focus lies on individual assistance for socially disadvantaged families, children, and youth, as well as on the promotion of integrative projects. Furthermore, the foundation organizes benefit events and maintains partnerships with companies and volunteers to offer donors meaningful experiences and to continuously expand its sphere of influence.
