About the funder

The NOAH Foundation is a private, independent foundation based in Potsdam with an office in Berlin. Since its founding in 2008, it has been one of the pioneers in promoting social entrepreneurship in Germany. The foundation accompanies and supports projects in the fields of social entrepreneurship, constructive journalism, and ocean restoration. Since 2020, it has acted as trustee of the GOOD Impact Foundation, which promotes innovation-oriented journalism to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and the OCEANS 2050 Foundation, dedicated to the protection and restoration of the oceans. Furthermore, the NOAH Foundation awards scholarships to social entrepreneurs and disseminates research and project results through its network and media partners to up to 2.5 million users in the German-speaking region.

Mission & Vision

Target groups

The funding programs of the NOAH Foundation are aimed at social entrepreneurs, initiatives, and media projects that pursue innovative approaches to solving pressing social and ecological problems. This includes individuals and organizations engaged in constructive journalism, implementing projects for the restoration of the seas, or developing social business models that directly contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
