About the funder
The noon Foundation is a legally recognized, non-profit civil law foundation based in Mannheim (since 2016). It is dedicated to the promotion of education and upbringing – particularly for disadvantaged children and adolescents from educationally underprivileged backgrounds in the Rhine-Neckar region – as well as the promotion of arts and culture (especially German-language literature) and church music in Mannheim. It initiates operational projects such as the literary prize "Advancement through Education" (endowed with €6,000 every two years) and the awarding of Deutschlandstipendien scholarships at the University of Mannheim. Additionally, it supports regional school and music projects, including reading sessions, theater and dance projects, circus weeks, and musical instrument provisions.

Mission & Vision
The noon Foundation is committed to educational equity and advancement through education. We support specific school and music projects in the region and provide a platform for literary engagement with the theme "Advancement through Education" through our literary prize. With scholarships at the University of Mannheim, we create opportunities for students in need and support them in their academic and personal development.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at: children and adolescents from educationally disadvantaged and financially underprivileged families in the Rhine-Neckar region; students receiving the full BAföG rate at the University of Mannheim within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium; authors of German-language prose texts on the theme "Advancement through Education" (age group 25–70 years) for participation in the literary prize; as well as schools, choirs, libraries, and non-profit organizations in the region that carry out school and music projects.
