Since 2001, it has shaped the expansion and development of the media industry in Lower Saxony and Bremen as the central media funding institution for both federal states. With an annual funding volume averaging 10 million euros, nordmedia supports film, TV, and interactive media projects at all stages of production, promotes investments, qualification and consulting services, game funding, training measures, as well as festivals. Accompanying services from the Film Commission enhance the impact of the funding and increase the attractiveness of the locations. Networking events, international presence (e.g., Berlinale, Cannes), as well as social media channels and newsletters ensure connectivity and visibility of the regional media industry.
