About the funder

The Nussbaum Foundation was established in April 2011 by media entrepreneur Klaus Nussbaum. The foundation is based in St. Leon-Rot and is organized as a non-profit limited liability company. Its primary goal is to offer disadvantaged children and young people better prospects, to promote education, sports, health, and culture, as well as to think and act ecologically. The foundation is committed to a society with greater equal opportunities and quality of life, particularly where public education and social systems do not provide sufficient support or require supplementation. The Nussbaum Foundation is a member of the Association of German Foundations and collaborates with a network of strong partners, including the German Forest Protection Association and Nussbaum Medien.
