About the funder
The Otmar Alt Foundation was established in 1992 by the artist Otmar Alt with the aim of preserving his extensive oeuvre, providing space and support for young artists, and creating a meeting place for art and culture. On a spacious site in Hamm-Norddinker, there is a museum, gallery, and sculpture park with over 50 sculptures. The foundation organizes rotating exhibitions, a scholarship for emerging artists, art programs for children and youth, as well as public tours and events.

The Otmar Alt Foundation aims to permanently safeguard the artistic legacy of Otmar Alt, promote talented emerging artists, and create opportunities for encounters through dialogue with the public. It regards art as a positive force in society and contributes to cultural diversity in the region.
Target groups
The foundation is aimed at emerging artists who are supported with a six-month scholarship; at children and young people who get to know creative techniques in workshops and art programs; at art-interested visitors of all ages who wish to attend exhibitions, readings, concerts, and guided tours in the museum and sculpture park; as well as at sponsors, members of the circle of friends, and partners from culture, education, and business.
