Otto und Lonny Bayer Stiftung
About the funder
The Otto and Lonny Bayer Foundation was established in 1984 by Lonny Bayer in memory of her husband, Prof. Dr. Otto Bayer, who passed away in 1982. It supports individuals, families in distress, and occasionally charitable institutions in Germany, with a focus on North Rhine-Westphalia, Bremen, Berlin, and the eastern federal states. From its inception until 2020, approximately 16,184 cases of assistance have been supported with over €9.4 million. The foundation does not initiate its own projects, provides subordinate grants, and requires a detailed social report from an independent third party for individual case aid.
