About the funder

The Peter-Warschow Collective Foundation is a legal foundation under civil law based in the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald. Founded as early as 1486 by Mayor Peter Warschow, it now unites several individual foundations. Its core assets include foundation properties in Greifswald as well as agricultural land, the rent and lease of which generate income for social, charitable, and non-profit purposes. The foundation maintains age-appropriate residential complexes, supports master craftsman training (up to €3,000 per master examination), awards training and Germany scholarships, and has long supported a variety of projects such as hospice services, child protection associations, museums, and support organizations.
