About the funder

The PharmHuman Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Hamburg. Since its establishment in 2005, it has linked pharmacy with humanitarian responsibility and supports projects domestically and abroad that prevent or alleviate adverse health conditions. The foundation initiates and supports programs for the safe supply of medicines to children, palliative care in hospices, vaccination projects in developing countries, as well as prevention and health education measures. It funds internships, studies, training, and provides financial resources on a sustainable basis.

Mission & Vision

The PharmHuman Foundation is committed to preserving health as the foundation of quality of life and self-determination. Its goal is to empower disadvantaged individuals to live healthily and sustainably improve their living conditions through pharmaceutical expertise and humanitarian projects. Both immediate relief and long-term preventive measures are supported to prevent crisis situations and to strengthen the exchange of information and experience in the healthcare sector.

Target groups

The funding programs of the PharmHuman Foundation are aimed at projects and institutions in the healthcare sector that support disadvantaged and needy people in industrialized and developing countries. The focus is particularly on pediatric wards and the safe use of medicines in infants, children, and adolescents, palliative care patients and professionals in hospices, communities with limited access to vaccinations and basic healthcare, educators and daycare centers for health promotion in childhood, as well as research institutions and networks for improving medication safety and therapy adherence.
