Mission & Vision

Education is the decisive factor for people's living conditions. The Rivera Foundation promotes education – the key to a better life – through collaborative projects at home and abroad that provide children, young people, and adults with sustainable opportunities for self-determination and social participation.

Target groups

Non-profit organizations with tax-exempt status are supported. Domestically, the focus is on children and young people with a migration background or from educationally disadvantaged families in the greater Bochum area (NRW). Internationally, projects are supported in countries on the DAC list that reach particularly disadvantaged groups: girls and young women, indigenous minorities, refugees, as well as people in rural and structurally weak regions.
