Robert Wilson Stiftung zur Förderung von Kunst, Kultur und Ausbildung
About the funder
The Robert Wilson Foundation for the Promotion of Art, Culture, and Education was founded in 1997 by Lummi Kieren and Christian Eisenbeiss in Hamburg. As a non-profit organization, it honors the work of theater director and artist Robert Wilson, supports projects under his direction, and particularly promotes the Watermill Center on Long Island (NY) as well as the development of an intercultural "Library of Inspiration." A key focus is the awarding of scholarships for the four-week Summer Workshops at the Watermill Center to young artists and students from Germany and Europe. In addition, it organizes benefit events, mentorships, and other formats to strengthen the exchange between artists and patrons. All donations are recognized for tax benefits by the German tax authorities.
