About the funder

The Kurt Eisner Association for Political Education in Bavaria e.V. has been the Bavarian cooperation partner of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation since 2000. As a non-profit association, it is committed to promoting political education in Bavaria and annually implements an average of 100–150 projects with around 3,000 participants. In addition to evening events, lectures, and panel discussions, the offerings include seminars, workshops, excursions, and educational trips. The regional office is located in Munich; another office is situated in Nuremberg/Fürth. The association regularly cooperates with local organizations and initiatives, including a.i.d.a Archive Munich, Antifa groups, Attac, VVN-BdA, DFG-VK, and the International Women's League for Peace and Freedom.

Mission & Vision

The Kurt-Eisner-Verein promotes political education to strengthen democratic awareness and social engagement in Bavaria. It supports individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds through participatory educational formats that focus on antifascism, antiracism, social, European, gender, and peace politics. The goal is to foster critical reflection and solidarity-based action.

Target groups

Eligible to apply are political groups, organizations, and institutions in Bavaria that wish to jointly implement political education projects with the Kurt-Eisner-Verein. Target groups of the funded educational programs include multipliers, activists, students, interested parties from civil society and municipalities, as well as marginalized groups who participate in workshops, seminars, and events on topics such as antifascism, migration, social, and local politics.
