About the funder
The Rückenwind – Foundation for Children and Youth in Damme was established on October 13, 2011, by the shareholders of WPD Windpark Damme GmbH & Co. KG on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the wind park in Damme. It is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan foundation under civil law, based in Damme. Rückenwind supports regional projects in the fields of education, upbringing, as well as the creative and athletic development of children and youth. Decisions regarding the allocation of funding are made by a three-member board, supported by a voluntary advisory council.

Mission & Vision
Rückenwind is committed to providing sustainable support to children and young people in special life situations, regardless of social background or religion. The goal is to promote projects through financial grants that strengthen the personal, educational, and social development of young people and improve their living conditions in the long term.
Target groups
Children and young people in Damme and neighboring communities who wish to carry out projects in the fields of education, upbringing, creative activities, and sports or require support in these areas are eligible for funding. Individuals, associations, and non-profit institutions that align with the foundation's objectives are entitled to apply.
