About the funder

The RWLE Möller Foundation was established by the directive of its namesake in the year of his death, 2001, and has since carried out its charitable work on a voluntary basis. It supports projects in the fields of visual arts, literature, film, theater, art and urban history, as well as youth and reading promotion. Its activities include awarding scholarships, providing publication subsidies for scientific and cultural works, organizing conferences and congresses, publishing the irregular series "celler hefte," and maintaining and documenting the artistic and literary estate of RWLE Möller. By the end of 2016, the foundation had allocated approximately €330,000 solely for funding purposes in culture and science.

Mission & Vision

Our goal is the promotion, realization, and awarding of scientific and cultural projects at local and supraregional levels. We grant scholarships in the fields of art and science, support publications through printing subsidies, organize conferences in the spirit of critical regional studies, and support nonprofit institutions with similar objectives. At the same time, we preserve the artistic heritage of RWLE Möller and offer the foundation house as an educational and residential facility for scholarship holders and visitors.

Target groups

The RWLE Möller Foundation targets artists, scholars, and cultural practitioners who wish to implement innovative projects in visual arts, literature, film, theater, or urban and cultural history. The target groups also include local institutions promoting reading, youth work in the jazz sector, nonprofit organizations, as well as individuals and groups aiming to contribute to critical engagement with regional studies, culture, and history through conferences, publications, or exhibitions.
