Sanddorf-Stiftung
About the funder
The Sanddorf Foundation is a non-profit foundation established in December 2011 by Erika Vielberth as a legal foundation under civil law, based in Regensburg. It pursues three central areas of support: the promotion of public health and healthcare, the strengthening of international understanding and the spirit of international cooperation (with a focus on German-Polish relations), as well as the promotion of welfare services. Within these areas, the foundation supports both external projects and its own initiatives, awarding funding based on standardized application procedures and internal priorities.

Mission & Vision
The Sanddorf Foundation is committed to strengthening public health care in the long term through targeted project and program funding, deepening understanding and tolerance between cultures (especially between Germany and Poland), and providing effective aid for self-help in the welfare sector. We see ourselves as a reliable partner for nonprofit institutions and work in a cooperative, transparent manner in accordance with the principles of good foundation practice.
Target groups
Funding applications can only be submitted by non-profit or public-law institutions, such as associations, non-profit limited liability companies (gGmbHs), schools, universities, or similar organizations. Individuals and private commercial enterprises are not eligible for funding. Eligible are projects and initiatives whose purpose aligns with the foundation's statutes and pursue the current thematic priorities of the three foundation areas: health, international understanding, and welfare.
