Schulz-Stübner-Stiftung – Ein Leben mit Bildern

Private foundation

About the funder

The Schulz-Stübner Foundation was established in 2003 and is dedicated to the long-term preservation of the works of the painter Hans Stübner, as well as the targeted support of young painters and art restorers. The foundation manages an extensive collection of original paintings and watercolors, which it loans as permanent loans to museums, public institutions, and schools (STÜBNOTHEK). It organizes the project "Art in Schools (KuSCH)," in which students select original works, frame them, and exhibit them permanently in their school premises. Additionally, it supports exhibitions in healthcare facilities as part of the KEGS initiative and cooperates on a case-by-case basis with the Healing Culture Network.

Mission & Vision

The Schulz-Stübner Foundation is dedicated to preserving the artistic legacy of Hans Stübner and providing young artists with a platform for visibility and development. Through permanent loans and educational projects, it promotes direct access to visual arts, fosters appreciation for original works, and supports the creative growth of students and emerging artists.

Target groups

The foundation's programs target several groups: young painters and art restorers, particularly students of the Berlin University of the Arts (sponsorship award since 2007); public and private institutions (museums, schools, authorities) wishing to use original works as exhibition objects; pupils from art classes who independently work with original art as part of the KuSCH project.
