About the funder

The Sozialagentur Sachsen-Anhalt is the central state authority responsible for the coordination and implementation of social assistance and integration assistance services in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. As the supra-local provider of social assistance (üöTrSh) and provider of integration assistance (TdE), it manages approximately 299 active support services for everyday life, 690 outpatient nursing services, and 32,000 fully inpatient care places. In close coordination with the 14 social welfare offices of the districts and independent cities, it ensures a local and citizen-friendly implementation of statutory services. The authority is subject to the professional supervision of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, and Equality of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Mission & Vision

The Sozialagentur Sachsen-Anhalt is committed to supporting people with disabilities, care needs, and social difficulties through tailored, legally secure, and citizen-oriented services. Our goal is inclusive and self-determined participation in social life, which we achieve through needs-based funding and support programs. In doing so, we work in partnership with municipalities, social welfare offices, and service providers, always acting in the interest of the common good.

Target groups

The Sozialagentur Sachsen-Anhalt is aimed at citizens with physical, mental, or psychological impairments as well as care needs, people facing particular social difficulties or who are blind, municipal social welfare offices in the districts and independent cities as local service providers, service providers such as care facilities, outpatient services, workshops for people with disabilities, and self-help organizations, as well as caseworkers and institutions wishing to be active within the framework of comprehensive planning procedures and objection and legal appeal processes.
