About the funder
The Sparkassen Bürgerstiftung Berchtesgadener Land was founded in 2004 to consolidate and sustainably promote civic engagement in the Berchtesgadener Land district. It brings together individuals, companies, and associations who wish to take responsibility for their local community. As early as 2006, the foundation's capital reached the milestone of one million euros. To date, the foundation has distributed over four million euros in funding to local clubs, social projects, and institutions. As an independent and politically neutral organization, it is subject to state foundation supervision, thereby guaranteeing maximum transparency and security.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to strengthen the common good in the Berchtesgadener Land region in the long term. We support nonprofit initiatives in the fields of education, social affairs, culture, environment, sports, and safety. Through donations, endowments, and funding, we enable projects to fully realize their potential and enhance the quality of life in our region.
