About the funder

The Sparkassen-Stiftung Limburg-Weilburg was established on November 6, 2007, and represents the social commitment of the two district savings banks of the Limburg-Weilburg district. With an endowment capital of 1,000,000 euros, half of which was donated by Kreissparkasse Limburg and half by Kreissparkasse Weilburg, the foundation exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes. It supports projects oriented towards the common good in various fields such as science and research, education and upbringing, arts and culture, international understanding, environmental, landscape, and monument preservation, youth welfare, elderly care, public health, social welfare, and sports. Since 2008, the foundation has been supporting clubs and institutions from the Limburg-Weilburg region.

The Sparkassen Foundation Limburg-Weilburg is committed to promoting projects that serve the common good in the Limburg-Weilburg district. Its goal is to make a positive contribution to society by supporting projects in the fields of science, education, art, culture, and many others. The foundation believes in the importance of community and collaboration and aims to improve the quality of life in the region through its funding.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Sparkassen-Stiftung Limburg-Weilburg are aimed at charitable and one-time projects and measures in the fields of science and research, education and upbringing, art and culture, international understanding, environmental, landscape and monument protection, local heritage and customs preservation, child and youth welfare, elderly care, public health, social welfare, as well as sports clubs. The foundation supports projects implemented in the Limburg-Weilburg district and promotes initiatives that are carried out no later than 12 months after approval.
