About the funder
The Sportstiftung Saar was established on December 13, 2013, at the Hermann-Neuberger Sports School in Saarbrücken by 14 founding sponsors. It is a foundation of the Saarland State Sports Association (LSVS) and aims to provide a comprehensive range of funding instruments. The basis of its work is funding guidelines adopted by the board with the approval of the foundation council. The foundation supports elite sports in Saarland, promotes sports in schools and clubs to secure young talent, and advocates for the inclusion of disabled and disadvantaged individuals in sports.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to sustainably strengthen the Saarland sports location, promote top athletic performance, and enable sports participation for all population groups. We create equal opportunities for athletes, support clubs and schools in talent development, and contribute to social integration and inclusion in sports through targeted projects.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Sportstiftung Saar are aimed at Saarland athletes in Olympic and Paralympic sports (e.g., Team Olympia, Perspective Team), at schools and sports clubs in Saarland that inspire children and young people to engage in sports and secure young talent, as well as at initiatives and projects that promote the inclusion of people with disabilities and disadvantaged groups in sports.
