About the funder
The Sportstiftung SÜDBADEN is a non-profit foundation based in Lörrach, dedicated to the financial and ideal support of promising competitive athletes from the South Baden region. It was established in close coordination with the Badischer Sportbund Freiburg, the Freiburg-Schwarzwald Olympic Training Center, and local sports clubs to retain talent and offer them a future in their home region. With funds from private foundations and sponsorships, it financially supports junior athletes in selected teams and squad groups and advises them on their path to dual careers.

Mission & Vision
Our goal is to sustainably support performance-oriented young athletes in South Baden and to provide them with optimal training and study conditions. We believe in the power of a strong regional network and collaborate with donors, sports associations, and clubs to offer young talents a solid foundation for their athletic and professional future.
Target groups
The funding supports performance-oriented junior athletes from non-profit clubs in the Freiburg administrative district. Requirements include membership in a state association squad group or selection team, as well as a demonstrable sporting perspective. The Sportstiftung SÜDBADEN targets young athletes who aim to combine elite sports with vocational training or studies (dual career) and require financial and advisory support for this purpose.
