Mission & Vision
Sport is of great importance for the development and social fabric of Vienna. MA 51 is committed to motivating people of all ages, especially children and youth, to engage in physical activity and integration by providing infrastructure at affordable rates, promoting competitions, and implementing targeted support programs. In doing so, it follows a service-oriented approach and strengthens community cohesion through the unifying power of sport.
Target groups
The funding programs and services of the Sport Vienna Department are aimed at Viennese sports associations, sports clubs, athletes, and sports-interested citizens of all age groups. Particular support is given to projects and events that benefit a broad audience, harness the integrative power of sport, and strengthen youth development in children’s and youth sports.
