Mission & Vision
For over 40 years, the Academy for Older Adults Heidelberg has been creating spaces for encounters and learning for people in later life. Our goal is to strengthen individual development and social participation through education, movement, and interaction. We understand learning as an age- and topic-spanning process that keeps mind and body fit and fosters new friendships as well as intergenerational networks.
Target groups
The offerings of the Academy are aimed at older adults who are retired or in the transition phase to retirement, who wish to remain active and continue their education. It appeals to individuals who enjoy culture, nature, technology, and social exchange, seek to expand their digital skills, and maintain their health. Participants benefit from an age-appropriate environment that fosters individuality, curiosity, and community.
