The Akademie für Ältere Heidelberg gGmbH is a non-profit educational institution in Heidelberg, established in 1984. It offers a diverse program of lectures, courses, excursions, and cultural events specifically tailored to the interests and needs of older adults. Topics range from languages and digital media to health seminars as well as nature, art, and cultural offerings. With its institute located at Bergheimer Straße 76, the Akademie promotes community, lifelong learning, and active participation.

For over 40 years, the Academy for Older Adults Heidelberg has been creating spaces for encounters and learning for people in later life. Our goal is to strengthen individual development and social participation through education, movement, and interaction. We understand learning as an age- and topic-spanning process that keeps mind and body fit and fosters new friendships as well as intergenerational networks.
