Stiftung Bildung für Thüringen
About the funder
The Stiftung Bildung für Thüringen was recognized by the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior on April 26, 2006, and is based in Erfurt. Established by and for the Thuringian economy, it supports the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT initiative under the umbrella of the Thuringian employers' and business associations. The focus of this non-profit foundation is to promote a close integration of schools and industry along a comprehensive STEM education pathway. This begins with early science education in daycare and primary schools, qualifies teachers and educational professionals through practice-oriented training, and is actively involved in career orientation at secondary schools. Additionally, it offers a scholarship program for high school students interested in mathematics and natural sciences.
