Stiftung CITOYEN

The Citoyen Foundation is a community foundation with the motto "active for civic spirit." It encourages individuals to take personal responsibility for engagement and participates itself with its own model projects. Furthermore, it supports initiatives and ideas of non-profit organizations or active groups that motivate others to participate in charitable tasks. The foundation’s purposes include youth and elderly care, education and training, science and research, art and culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as the support of civic engagement. The foundation does not assume public duties but serves as a model and cooperates with other non-profit organizations. It bears the quality seal for community foundations awarded by the Association of German Foundations.

The Citoyen Foundation promotes civic engagement by encouraging individuals to participate actively and responsibly in the community. Through its own projects and funding programs, it creates sustainable role models for self-help and community, and connects committed citizens.

The funding opportunities are aimed at committed individuals, groups, and non-profit organizations that plan and implement local projects with model and exemplary character in the fields of youth and elderly care, upbringing and education, science and research, arts and culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as civic engagement. A high proportion of voluntary work and a sustainability concept are prerequisites.
