About the funder
The Stiftung der Kreissparkasse Verden was established in 1995 by the Kreissparkasse Verden as a legally capable, non-profit foundation under civil law. Since then, it has supported charitable projects in the district of Verden in the fields of art and culture, monument and heritage preservation, nature and environmental protection, youth and elderly care, youth and amateur sports, social initiatives, as well as science and research. To date, over 800 projects have been funded with approximately €4.7 million. The foundation capital now amounts to €11.5 million, the proceeds of which are permanently used for the region. The foundation’s governing bodies are the Executive Board and the Foundation Council.

Our mission is to sustainably improve the quality of life in the district of Verden by supporting non-profit associations and institutions in accordance with our statutes. We are committed to strengthening social engagement in the fields of art, culture, environmental protection, sports, social affairs, and science, thereby providing impetus for a livable region.
