About the funder

The Stiftung der Universität Bremen is a civil law foundation based in Bremen. It originated in 2009 from the Stiftung der unifreunde and has been steadily growing ever since. It enables private individuals, foundations, associations, federations, and companies to commit themselves to research, teaching, and knowledge transfer at the University of Bremen in a long-term and sustainable manner. The foundation supports pioneering research fields, new teaching concepts, early-career researchers, as well as science communication. Well-known programs include: GOLDENES PLIETSCH (pitch competition), Campus Prize, Deutschlandstipendium, Baumeister Foundation.
