The Stiftung der VR-Bank Bonn Rhein-Sieg was established in 2006 by VR-Bank Bonn eG. It is a recognized charitable foundation under civil law with legal capacity and an endowment capital of 1.45 million euros. The board and the foundation council manage the foundation's affairs on a voluntary basis. Funds are raised through donations and additional contributions and are awarded in the form of project grants to institutions and initiatives in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district.

Target groups
