Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Deutscher Architekten actively demands and promotes building culture by creating information services and communication formats, encouraging young planners, and expanding their competencies. The goal is to enhance the quality of the built environment, foster interdisciplinary thinking, and place future-relevant topics such as sustainability, regional traditions, and social responsibility at the center of the foundation's work.

Target groups

The foundation's programs and projects are aimed at students, graduates, and young planners from North Rhine-Westphalia in the fields of architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning. It particularly promotes creative, interdisciplinary approaches and supports emerging professionals in deepening their theoretical knowledge through practical experience (e.g., hands-on projects) and academic research (doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships).
