About the funder

The Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur is the foundation of the German games industry and an ambassador for the opportunities offered by games. Since its establishment in 2012, it has been building bridges nationwide between the world of digital games and societal as well as political institutions. As a non-profit gGmbH, initiated at the behest of the German Bundestag and the industry, it implements projects, events, and studies in cooperation with partners from education, society, youth protection, culture, media, politics, pedagogy, administration, and science. A broadly composed advisory board ensures independent, transparent, and targeted work. The foundation is supported by game – the Association of the German Games Industry.
