About the funder

The Stiftung DPSG Diözesanverband Berlin is a sub-foundation of the Stiftung Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg. It was established to secure scouting education and life in Berlin, parts of Brandenburg, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for the coming decades. Here, children and young people, under the guidance of well-trained leaders, discover their own lives, learn to take responsibility, and gain formative experiences. In view of declining public and church subsidies, the foundation aims to ensure the continuation of group work, training, leadership, and exchange, thereby promoting the values of solidarity, global justice, and environmental protection.

Mission & Vision

The Stiftung DPSG Diözesanverband Berlin aims to strengthen scouting educational and experiential opportunities in the long term. We promote the individual development of children and young people, support volunteer leaders in their training, and seek to embed shared values such as responsibility, community, and sustainability within the association. Through our financial and organizational support, we ensure that scouting activities can continue independently of the current subsidy situation.

Target groups

All active and prospective members of the German Scout Association Saint George in the Berlin Diocesan Association are supported, especially children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as their volunteer and full-time leaders. The foundation supports scouting institutions, working groups, and projects that make a sustainable contribution to personal development, the transmission of values, and the strengthening of community.
