Stiftung Dr. Hans und Hildegard Koester
About the funder
The Dr. Hans and Hildegard Koester Foundation was established in 2008 by Hildegard Koester, wife of Dr. Hans Koester and niece of the artist Alexander Koester. The founders contributed their entire estate, especially an extensive collection of paintings by Alexander Koester, to the foundation. The foundation's purpose includes, on the one hand, making these works publicly accessible through loans to museums and the long-term establishment of an Alexander Koester Center in Klausen (South Tyrol) in cooperation with the Province of South Tyrol. On the other hand, the foundation promotes medical research, particularly in the field of tumor research, as well as welfare services with a focus on hospice facilities.
