About the funder

The Stiftung Endoprothetik was founded in 2002 as the ENDO Foundation and has since been dedicated to the independent promotion of scientific research projects focused on the investigation and treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. It finances its statutory purposes through the management and investment of its foundation capital as well as through donations. By its 20th anniversary, over 60 projects had been funded with more than 4 million euros, the results of which have been published in international scientific journals. Annually, the foundation awards a scientific prize in cooperation with the AE – German Society for Endoprosthetics, with a total endowment of 20,000 euros.

Mission & Vision

The Endoprosthetics Foundation supports scientific projects aimed at researching and advancing the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of congenital, acquired, and injury-related diseases of the human musculoskeletal system. The goal is to develop evidence-based treatment methods to sustainably improve the mobility and quality of life of affected patients.

Target groups

Independent research projects conducted at universities, specialized clinics, or other non-profit institutions are supported. Eligible to apply are scientists and physicians with projects in the field of endoprosthetics. Selection is carried out through a two-stage, independent process by a voluntary scientific committee. Members of the AE – German Society for Endoprosthetics are especially encouraged to submit applications.
