Stiftung für Kinder und Jugendliche im Sozialraum Geretsried Wolfratshausen

The "Foundation for Children and Youth in the Social Area of Geretsried/Wolfratshausen" was established in spring 2005 on the initiative of the cross-municipal network "Round Table Youth Welfare" and is managed as a sub-foundation within the Children's Fund Foundation Center. Using funds from the region, it supports charitable projects and young people in acute distress independently and directly. The foundation promotes, on the one hand, preventive services in child and youth work (project funding) and, on the other hand, individual assistance for children, adolescents, and their families in challenging life situations. All entrusted funds flow transparently and unbureaucratically into the region to provide help where public services end.

Children and young people are among the most vulnerable in our society. The foundation takes responsibility for the personal and social development of young people in the Geretsried/Wolfratshausen social area and aims to give them a fair chance. With funds from the region, we seek to contribute sustainably and long-term to nurturing talents, providing new orientations, and offering unbureaucratic assistance in emergencies.

The foundation is aimed at children and adolescents in the Geretsried/Wolfratshausen social area as well as their families who rely on support due to social disadvantage, family problems, or acute emergencies. Both local youth welfare projects and direct financial assistance for individual cases such as meal fees, class trips, holiday care, or rent arrears are funded.
