Stiftung für Kultur in Oberkotzau
About the funder
The Foundation for Culture in Oberkotzau was established in 1999 by Marina and Dr. Arnd Kluge and held its first events in 2005. With assets exceeding 80,000 euros, invested in savings bonds and securities, it generates annual income of approximately 1,000 to 1,500 euros. Together with donations and admission fees, the foundation supports cultural projects in Oberkotzau and the surrounding area. The three-member volunteer board (two founders and the mayor of the market town) manages the assets without reimbursement of expenses and allocates all funds exclusively to cultural events such as concerts, readings, magic shows, dance performances, or children's programs.

Mission & Vision
The Foundation for Culture in Oberkotzau complements the existing cultural offerings of the municipality, churches, schools, kindergartens, and associations through targeted financial support and its own programs. It is committed to strengthening cultural diversity and community experience locally by organizing high-quality events, enabling talent development, and making culture accessible to all age groups.
Target groups
The recipients of the funding and events are all cultural creators, associations, and committed private individuals from Oberkotzau and the surrounding area, as well as the general public. The foundation particularly supports projects by and for children, adolescents, and adults that contribute to local cultural development and introduce new impulses in the market community.
