About the funder
The Golden Sugarloaf Foundation was established in 1990 on the joint initiative of trade, industry, and the Lebensmittel Zeitung. It is a legally recognized foundation under civil law, headquartered at Deutscher Fachverlag in Frankfurt am Main, and pursues exclusively charitable purposes. The foundation's goal is to promote the further education of qualified junior staff from trade and industry in the food sector. The foundation's proceeds are distributed annually as sponsorship awards during the industry event "Golden Sugarloaf." To date, individuals have been supported with up to €10,000 and institutions with up to €20,000.

Mission & Vision

The funding programs are aimed at individuals under 29 years of age with completed vocational training or specialized studies who pursue specific continuing education goals and wish to expand their knowledge through further training measures, as well as at public or private institutions that are particularly committed to the education and training of young people in the trade and industry sectors of the food economy and require financial support for specific projects.
