Mission & Vision
The Humboldt University Foundation supports Humboldt University of Berlin in all areas of research, teaching, and early career development, as well as in preserving its cultural heritage. It is convinced that outstanding science and teaching are essential for modern, democratic societies. As a pure funding foundation, it pragmatically initiates, accompanies, and implements inter- and transdisciplinary projects that contribute to cutting-edge research, cultural preservation, and knowledge transfer between the university and society.
Target groups
The foundation's funding programs are aimed at Humboldt University of Berlin and its members: early-career researchers, students, faculty, and research groups. Support is provided for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cutting-edge research projects, innovative teaching formats, as well as measures for the preservation and maintenance of the university's cultural and architectural heritage. Additionally, the foundation supports initiatives that promote the transfer between science and society.
