About the funder
The KalkGestalten Foundation is a community foundation established in July 2005, based in the Cologne-Kalk district. It is politically and denominationally independent and supports local projects and initiatives with funds from endowments, donations, and the returns on its foundation capital. The focus areas of funding are: education and upbringing, youth and elderly care as well as welfare services, art, culture and sports, environmental, landscape and monument protection including heritage conservation, and international understanding among peoples. The foundation aims to strengthen the community, motivate citizens to actively participate in shaping it, and support projects that do not fall within the regular responsibilities of municipal administration.

Mission & Vision
The KalkGestalten Foundation aims to promote civic engagement in the Kalk district and to create structures for social cohesion, cultural diversity, and sustainable urban development.
