About the funder
The Kieler Sporthilfe Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Kiel, established in 1994 by the Kieler Nachrichten and the Kieler Volksbank. Its goal is the sustainable support of young elite athletes from the Kiel region. Since its inception, it has supported talents from various Olympic and non-Olympic sports with financial grants to cover training and competition expenses.

Mission & Vision
We move Kiel: The Kiel Sports Aid Foundation is committed to supporting sports talents from the region and enabling them to prepare for national and international competitions without financial worries. We believe in the power of sports to inspire people and aim to empower athletes through financial resources and networks.
Target groups
Talented athletes from Kiel and the surrounding area who achieve outstanding performances are supported. A prerequisite for funding is a placement among the top 3 at North German championships or among the top 8 at German championships, as well as active membership in established sports clubs in the region. The foundation targets individuals and teams aiming for national and international success in Olympic disciplines and other sports.
