Stiftung kinder- und familienfreundliches Melsungen

The "Stiftung kinder- und familienfreundliches Melsungen" is a network of committed citizens dedicated to creating a child- and family-friendly city. It contributes to networking institutions and initiatives in the field of child and youth work. The foundation manages an initial capital of EUR 266,000 (established on February 16, 2005) and currently holds foundation assets of EUR 5.72 million (as of December 31, 2024). Interest income and project-specific donations are used long-term to enable sustainable funding measures in Melsungen.

The focus of our work is the promotion of educational, integration, and participation opportunities for children and young people, as well as the support of parents and caregivers. We are committed to optimizing the compatibility of family and career and ensuring that the foundation's objectives are embraced by all citizens. Through the sustainable management of the foundation's assets, we aim to make a lasting contribution to a future-oriented and family-friendly city.

The foundation's programs are aimed at children and adolescents in Melsungen as well as their parents and caregivers. Local institutions, associations, and initiatives that implement measures for education, upbringing, care, integration, and health promotion are supported. The goal is to provide all young people with optimal opportunities for development, integration, and participation.
