About the funder
The Klingelknopf Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated since 2003 to supporting children and adolescents with neurofibromatosis and their families. The foundation organizes and funds recreational programs (sailing school, holiday camps, creative seminars on Sylt, vacations at Schloss Dankern), supports medical aids (wheelchairs, speech computers, color readers), educational and equipment needs (laptops, electric tricycles, tricycles), as well as individual life dreams (participation in TV productions, special excursions). Furthermore, it offers a nationwide helpline for concerns and emotional support and promotes anonymous exchange in online networks. The annual newsletter ("Klingelknopf INFO") and regular reports on the website provide information about activities, successes, and funding projects.

The Klingelknopf Foundation is committed to providing children and adolescents with neurofibromatosis, as well as their families, with a balance to their medically imposed daily lives, promoting their social and emotional development, and enabling participation in social life. It believes in the potential and creativity of those affected and aims to empower them by inspiring joy of life, fulfilling individual wishes, and building sustainable networks.
Target groups
The offerings of the Klingelknopf Foundation are aimed at children and adolescents affected by neurofibromatosis, as well as their families and caregivers. Support is provided not only to those directly affected but also to their parents and siblings, in order to relieve the entire family. The goal is to address the special needs of individuals with NF (medical care, mobility, psychosocial support) and to offer them carefree activities and opportunities for personal development.
