About the funder
The Foundation for Cultural Heritage in the Rural Areas of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a non-profit foundation under civil law that has been dedicated since 2005 to the preservation, maintenance, and sustainable use of cultural heritage in the rural regions of the federal state. It supports private and public initiatives, promotes the exchange of experience on topics such as the restoration and financing of manor houses and park complexes, and takes endangered properties into trust. The SKMV operates on a voluntary basis, cooperates with the State Office for Monument Preservation, and provides impetus for regional identity development through projects and publications.
