Mission & Vision
The Kulturglück Foundation aims to dismantle barriers within the cultural sector and to pave the way to cultural events and institutions for all residents of Hamburg—especially for people with physical, mental, or cognitive impairments. Through cooperation with public authorities, private sponsors, and cultural institutions, it creates sustainable structures and supports projects that enable participation, personal development, and social integration through active engagement with art.
Target groups
The funding and program offerings of the Kulturglück Foundation are aimed at individuals and groups in Hamburg with physical, mental, or cognitive disabilities, sensory impairments or dementia-related illnesses, children, adolescents, and adults with mental health conditions, seniors, as well as people in social distress, children and young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods, and individuals with migration backgrounds or language barriers. The goal is to enable cultural participation for those who, for various reasons, have so far had little or no access to artistic and cultural opportunities.
