About the funder
The LBBW Foundation is a legal entity and a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Stuttgart. It was established in 1984 by the Landesgirokasse Stuttgart and merged into the Stiftung Landesbank Baden-Württemberg in 2016. Since then, the foundation has supported projects in the fields of art and culture, nature and environment, as well as education, training, and further education in Baden-Württemberg through start-up funding and support for young talent. To date, approximately 12,000 projects have been funded with a total funding volume of €27.9 million.

Mission & Vision
Building bridges from the present into the future – foundations change the world for the better in small steps. The LBBW Foundation promotes proactive initiatives by individuals, supports local projects, and is committed to fostering young talent in order to create diversity, accompany change, and strengthen an engaged civil society in Baden-Württemberg.
Target groups
The funding programs of the LBBW Foundation are aimed at natural and legal persons residing or headquartered in Baden-Württemberg. Special projects and initiatives in the fields of art and culture, environmental and nature conservation, education and training, as well as science and research are supported. The foundation addresses individuals, groups, associations, and institutions that pursue innovative concepts, promote young people, or seek to preserve the native fauna and flora.
