About the funder

On September 23, 1999, the Lebenshilfe for People with Intellectual Disabilities e. V. – District Association Düren established the Stiftung Lebenshilfe Düren, which was approved by the District Government the following year. The purpose of the foundation is to procure funds for Lebenshilfe Düren to realize its tax-privileged objectives. The focus is particularly on the creation and maintenance of housing for people with intellectual disabilities, measures to support, educate, care for, accommodate, and provide recreation for these individuals, as well as adult education for adults with participation needs. The foundation’s bodies are the Foundation Council and the Foundation Board, which legally and extrajudicially represent the foundation, manage it, and decide on the allocation of foundation funds.
