About the funder

The Stiftung Lebenshilfe Kreisvereinigung Mettmann was founded in 2004 to enable people with intellectual disabilities in the Mettmann district to achieve the greatest possible degree of independence and quality of life. With the help of collected funds, it supports around 240 residents in various forms of housing and promotes accompanying measures ranging from early childhood education and therapeutic early intervention to family-oriented services and leisure activities. In addition, sports activities (e.g., participation in the Special Olympics), the acquisition of therapy materials, as well as music, art, and movement therapies are financed.
