Mission & Vision

Good reading and language skills make a positive difference: they facilitate access to education and a successful professional life. However, many children and young people in Germany face significant difficulties in this area. Our services are therefore specifically aimed at families as well as educators, teachers, and other specialists. To this end, we work closely with ministries, scientific institutions, associations, companies, and other foundations.

Target groups

The offerings of Stiftung Lesen are aimed at families with young children, educators and pedagogical professionals in daycare centers and schools, teachers of all school types, as well as libraries and public institutions. Furthermore, we address volunteers engaged in reading promotion and institutions or organizations that wish to carry out reading promotion projects.
