About the funder
The Foundation for Renewable Resources, established by C.A.R.M.E.N. e.V., promotes research, teaching, and young talent in the fields of renewable resources, renewable energies, sustainability, and agriculture. It deploys financial resources strategically to quickly and flexibly anchor scientific findings in the economy and society. Annually, the foundation awards scholarship programs, high school prizes, and doctoral scholarships, supporting young talents in their academic and personal development.

Mission & Vision
The Foundation for Renewable Resources aims to promote the economical and careful use of natural resources as well as to strengthen awareness of environmental and climate responsibility. Through targeted financial and non-material support, it seeks to empower young people to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future in business, research, and society.
Target groups
The foundation targets high school graduates who submit outstanding seminar papers in the field of renewable raw materials (High School Prize for Renewable Raw Materials), bachelor’s and master’s students specializing in renewable raw materials, renewable energies, sustainability, or agriculture at East Bavarian universities (e.g., TUM Campus Straubing, OTH Regensburg, University of Regensburg, Landshut University of Applied Sciences, University of Passau, Deggendorf Institute of Technology, TU Munich-Weihenstephan, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences), as well as doctoral candidates at TUM Campus Straubing with above-average academic and personal qualifications and demonstrated social commitment.
